Creme Brûlée

Ingredients

4 cups heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
6 tbsp sugar


  1. In a large pot, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract until warm. Take off heat.
  2. In a medium-large bowl, whisk together the gg yolks and sugar. Gradually add the heavy cream mixture.
  3. Divide batter between 6 mini ceramic bowls. Fill large baking tray with boiling water 1/3 of the way full. Place ceramic bowls inside. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
  4. Let cool at least 2 hours. Place 1 tbsp of sugar on top of creme brûlée. Use a blowtorch to caramelize the sugar.

Notes

Add in milk mixture slowly to ensure the egg yolks do no cook
