Ingredients
2 2/3 cup cake flour
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp red gel food coloring
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whist together.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add vegetable oil, white vinegar, and food coloring. Alternating, add the milk, dry ingredients, and butter mixture together.
- Divide batter between two 8 inch greased cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool.
