Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp brown sugar
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add sugar and combine.
- In a medium bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients using a spatula. Add butter and combine.
- Divide batter into four bowls. In two of the bowl add each half the brown sugar and half the cinnamon.
- Place one bowl of the vanilla and cinnamon cake batter in a greased 6×6 inch cake pan. Use a skewer to swirl the cake batters together, not completely mixing together. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Repeat with other cake layer. Let cool. Decorate as desired.
