Cinnamon Swirl Cake

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp brown sugar


  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add sugar and combine.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients using a spatula. Add butter and combine.
  3. Divide batter into four bowls. In two of the bowl add each half the brown sugar and half the cinnamon.
  4. Place one bowl of the vanilla and cinnamon cake batter in a greased 6×6 inch cake pan. Use a skewer to swirl the cake batters together, not completely mixing together. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Repeat with other cake layer. Let cool. Decorate as desired.

Yield-two 6 inch cakes
